Consortium members has 2 approved projects for 2011-12 and one that has been carried over to 2012-13 (Mindfulness in Higher Education)
"Roads Scholars for Peace" - University of Hartford, Saint Joseph College, Central CT State University - four local scholars will travel to Consortium member institutions for interdisciplinary presentations and participatory discussions related to the very timely issue of peace studies, presenting on four specific topics: nonviolent revolution, the "Arab Spring", sustainability of the environment and security, and social entrepreneurship
"Exploration: A Critical & Creative Folio & Performance of Inner and Outer Voyage" - Central CT State University, University of Hartford, Trinity College - English, History and Interarts departments of the three schools will assemble a creative and scholarly body of work surrounding the subject of "Exploration", culminating in a public performance and publication in an online journal of the arts
"Mindfulness in Higher Education" - Capital Community College, Central CT State University - scholars from the two Consortium members will launch a statewide forum on current practices in contemplative philosophy within academic and student services divisions in higher education in CT as part of a broader consideration of "contemplative pedagogy" to enhance student learning experiences
